hero asset
the door was blown off with vertex animation baked out of maya.
at 160k polygons unreal engine easily
handled this hero asset aswell
some of the diffrrent layers combined to
create the final result
the electric effect around the whale was created with a tri-planer decal.
I had originally tried making this work with distance fields, but found out that decals would be a much simpler elegant solution.
